Tab Trade - The Short Version
TabTrade launched in Q1 2026. CFD broker based in Saint Lucia, regulated by Saint Lucia's FSRA. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, an New Zealand-regulated broker.
His background matters. It suggests the leadership has actually done this before. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. Still more reassuring than a founder with no industry background.
TabTrade came out of the gate with Equinix data centre access in London. Same facilities banks and hedge funds use. Most new brokers focuses on ads and sign-up promos. These guys went the other way. Interesting choice.
The instrument list: forex, indices, gold, silver, oil, energies, softs, stock CFDs, crypto, exchange-traded funds. Over 1,000 instruments. For a broker that launched in March 2026, that range is broad.
Platforms
You get: MT5, cTrader by Spotware, and a browser platform. Both platforms from a single account. Many only give you one or the other. Having both is useful. Pick what suits your style.
MT5 is what most people know. Complete charts, Expert Advisors, massive community. If you have used MT4 or MT5 previously, it is familiar territory.
cTrader by Spotware is the more modern one. Better depth of market. Faster charting. cBot support. Many people prefer it once they try it.
FIX API is there for automated strategies but requires the VIP tier ($25,000 to open). TradingView charting is reportedly in the works. That should round things out once it is live.
Accounts and Pricing
Three tiers: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. Spreads from 1.0 pips. Commission-free. Straightforward. Zero deposit requirement. Suits people who want simple pricing.
Edge account. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips average. Commission of $3.50 per side. Total cost: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On liquid pairs, the raw spread is frequently under 0.2 pips. So your all-in cost can be under half a pip. That is cheap for an offshore broker. Most platforms that run raw pricing at this level want $500 or more to open. TabTrade does not.
VIP. $25,000 minimum. FIX API, sub-20ms execution, custom pricing. Not for most retail traders. Ignore this one unless you run serious volume.
Execution Speed
The speed is the thing this broker stands apart. Equinix servers in London. Under 30ms on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. These are proper execution targets. The average platform run 100ms to 300ms.
Does it matter? If you trade small timeframes, it does. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is the difference between. If you trade higher timeframes, you probably will not feel it. What matters is they invested in proper execution. That says what kind of broker this is.
Combine that infrastructure with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and the total package holds up. Not many platforms at this price point run Equinix connectivity.
Safety
This is the thing you need to be straight about. The broker is regulated by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is tier-3. No FCA. No government-backed safety net. If that is a dealbreaker, stop reading. Lots of tier-1 alternatives out there.
That said. Benjamin Boulter spent years at BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The Equinix infrastructure costs real money. Fly-by-night platforms do not pay for proper execution infrastructure. None of this make it safe. It should inform how you think about it.
The trade-off: no FCA or ASIC safety net. In exchange: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether that makes sense comes down to your priorities.
Welcome Offer
TabTrade offers a welcome bonus of up to $2,000. Usual sign-up bonus. You put money in, the broker top up your balance. Usual conditions attached: minimum lots traded before bonus funds can be taken out. Check the terms before you deposit.
