Tab Trade - The Short Version
TabTrade opened in March 2026. Trading platform based in Saint Lucia, licensed through Saint Lucia's FSRA. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, an New Zealand-regulated broker.
His background is relevant. It says the founder has actually done this before. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. But more reassuring than a random name you cannot trace.
They launched with execution through Equinix servers. Same facilities banks and hedge funds use. The typical new launch starts with a white-label MT4 setup. TabTrade did the opposite. Not the typical playbook.
What you can trade: forex, indices, metals, commodities, equities, crypto, ETFs. 1,000+. For a platform that is a few months old, that coverage is solid.
What You Trade On
They offer: MT5, cTrader by Spotware, and web trading. Both MT5 and cTrader from one account. Most brokers pick one platform. Having both matters. Pick what suits your style.
MetaTrader 5 is the default. Complete charts, Expert Advisors, massive community. If you have used MT4 or MT5 previously, there are no surprises.
cTrader is the more modern one. Better depth of market. Smoother chart interaction. cBot support. Many people find it more natural after using both.
FIX API is available for algo traders but requires the VIP account ($25k minimum). TradingView is said to be on the roadmap. That will round things out when it arrives.
Accounts and Pricing
Three tiers: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. Spreads from 1.0 pips. Zero commission. Straightforward. $0 to start. Good for anyone who does not want to think about commission.
Edge account. True raw pricing from 0.0 pips on average. Flat commission of $3.50 each way. All-in: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On liquid pairs, the actual interbank spread is often below 0.2 pips. So your real cost sometimes sits under half a pip. That is hard to beat for a broker with $0 to start. Most brokers that run raw pricing at this level require a minimum deposit. This broker has no minimum.
VIP. $25,000 deposit required. FIX API, execution under 20ms, tailored rates. Not something the average person. Do not worry about it unless you trade institutionally.
Infrastructure
This is the area where this broker actually does something different. Equinix data centres. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. These are not marketing fluff. The average platform quote 100ms to 300ms.
Does it matter? For short-term trading, absolutely. The difference between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is the difference between. If you hold positions longer, it matters less. The point is they invested in proper execution. That signals something about priorities.
Combine that infrastructure with the Edge account pricing and the total package is strong. Few brokers in this bracket run Equinix connectivity.
The FSRA Question
Now, the thing that requires honesty. TabTrade is under the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No CySEC. No government-backed safety net. If the lack of tier-1 regulation makes you uncomfortable, stop reading. Plenty of tier-1 alternatives out there.
However. The person running it spent years at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The server placement costs real money. Scam brokers do not bother with tier-1 data centre access. None of this replace tier-1 regulation. It does be part of your assessment.
The deal: no FCA or ASIC safety net. In exchange: high leverage, cheap spreads, no minimum deposit, Equinix execution. Whether this deal makes sense comes down to your priorities.
The Bonus
TabTrade has a deposit bonus of up to two thousand dollars. Standard deposit match. You deposit, they add bonus funds. The normal fine print: trading volume requirements before the bonus becomes withdrawable. Review the fine print before you deposit.
